Kingsborough Pictures, founded in 1986 as an independent feature film production company, has offices in Los Angeles, California and Montreal, Canada.

The principals are producer Pieter Kroonenburg and producer/writer Julie Allan.

Pieter, as a principal in Rising Star Films, Filmline International and Kingsborough Pictures, has produced over 30 features, 9 of them with producing partner Julie Allan.

The majority of Kingsborough’s previous films have been financed as international co-productions, using Pieter’s extensive Canadian and European connections to fund the projects.  Since the opening of the Beverly Hills office, Kingsborough is now developing bigger budget motion pictures in collaboration with major studios.

Kingsborough’s goal is to produce thought provoking and commercially viable films like To Walk with Lions, about the decimation of the African Wildlife, and Ocean Warrior, a film about the modern day eco-pirate Paul Watson. 

We’re also attracted to great stories like The Prince of Cool – the biopic of the legendary jazz musician Chet Baker, and Forbidden City, an action/adventure film set in China.
